Signs you have a problem
- A steady trail of ants across a counter, sill or door threshold
- Small piles of what looks like sawdust near skirting or window frames
- Winged ants indoors, which usually means a nest inside the structure
- Rustling inside a wall on a quiet evening, typical of carpenter ants
- Ants clustering around pet bowls, bins or a leaking pipe
Why it happens
Killing the ants you can see does nothing to the colony. Carpenter ants in particular hollow out damp structural timber, so the ant trail is a symptom and the moisture is often the real problem.
The part people underestimate
A mature carpenter ant colony can quietly weaken joists and window framing over a few seasons, and the repair costs far more than the treatment.
How we handle it
Identify the species, remove what is inside, seal every way in, then clean up what was left behind. That last pair of steps is what separates a fix from a delay, and it is included in the quoted price rather than added afterwards.

How it works
Same three steps everywhere we work.
Call and describe it
Tell us what you are seeing or hearing and when. Most of the time we can narrow down the species on the phone and give you an arrival window before you hang up.
Inspect and quote flat
We find how they are getting in, how far it has spread and what the damage looks like. Then you get one flat price. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
Remove, seal, clean up
The animals or insects come out, every entry point gets closed, and the droppings, nesting material and odour are dealt with before we leave.
Common questions
Are these carpenter ants or just nuisance ants?
Size and sawdust are the tell. Carpenter ants are large and leave coarse shavings, called frass, below the timber they are excavating. We identify the species on site because carpenter ant treatment targets the nest inside the structure, not the trail.
Will you treat outside as well?
Yes. Most your city ant problems are outdoor colonies foraging indoors, so we treat the perimeter, the entry routes and any satellite nests we find in mulch, tree stumps or under decking.
Is the treatment safe around pets?
We place bait and product where pets and children cannot reach it, and we tell you exactly which areas to keep clear and for how long. Mention your pets when you call (833) 652-6912 and we plan around them.
